Very predictable result in Reykjavik where fourth ranked KR (12-10) beat 10th ranked IR (8-14) 112-101 on Monday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. KR looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by IR's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Ty Sabin (190-94, college: Ripon, agency: Duran International) who scored 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists. The other American import Brandon Nazione (202-94, college: EMU) chipped in 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). KR's coach Darri Atlason used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Coastal) who recorded 32 points and 5 assists and Croatian center Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) added 25 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Five KR and four IR players scored in double figures. KR maintains fourth position with 12-10 record, which they share with Valur. IR at the other side keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost.
