Second Stage Round 10: Ourense - Real Murcia 77-78

A very interesting game took place in Ourense. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 16th ranked Ourense (8-6) to twelfth ranked Real Murcia (10-6) 78-77 on Tuesday evening. Real Murcia shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 53.3 percentage. Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-90) supported him with 12 points and 6 assists. Five Real Murcia players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) by American forward Evan Yates (198-91, college: Ashland) did not help to save the game for Ourense. Armenian-American guard Andre Spight (191-95, college: N.Colorado) added 21 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Real Murcia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Caceres. Ourense at the other side keeps the sixteenth position with six games lost.
