The most surprising game was the first loss of Ironi Nes-Ziona (4-1) in Nes Ziyona on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Bnei Hasharon (2-3) 98-87. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Ironi Nes-Ziona. Bnei Hasharon looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a good game for American forward Coty Clarke (201-92, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import guard Max Heidegger (191-97, college: UCSB) contributed with 26 points and 4 steals for the winners. International Nimrod Levi (208-95) replied with 26 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Patrick Miller (185-92, college: Tennessee St.) added 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Ironi Nes-Ziona. Four Bnei Hasharon and five Ironi Nes-Ziona players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Bnei Hasharon maintains fifth position with 2-3 record. Ironi Nes-Ziona at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. They share the position with Maccabi T-A. Bnei Hasharon are looking forward to face Maccabi Haifa (#6) at home in the next round. Ironi Nes-Ziona will play against Hapoel Tel-Aviv (#4) and is hoping to win this game.
