Regular Season Round 33: Orleans - Strasbourg 91-65

The most shocking disappointment of round 33 was a road defeat of 4th placed SIG Strasbourg (19-8) by eighth ranked Entente Orleans 45 (15-14) who outscored them by 26 points 91-65. Entente Orleans 45 dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to SIG Strasbourg's 30. Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-94, college: Marquette) stepped up and scored 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (198-95, college: UC Davis) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Romanian guard Kris Richard (196-89, college: Tulane) with 19 points and American Bonzie Colson Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Entente Orleans 45 went down to ninth position due to points difference. SIG Strasbourg at the other side keeps the fourth place with eight games lost. Entente Orleans 45 are looking forward to face higher ranked Le Mans (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SIG Strasbourg will play against JL Bourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
