Important game to mention about took place in Beer Sheva. Second ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (4-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 4th placed H.Beer Sheva (4-2) 100-99 in the fight for the second place. H.Beer Sheva was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to H.Beer Sheva's 34. They outrebounded H.Beer Sheva 39-25 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Hapoel Tel-Aviv especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Justin Tillman (203-96, college: VCU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). International guard Yam Madar (190-0, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 29 points and 6 assists for the winning side. International Spencer Weisz (193-95, college: Princeton) came up with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American guard Amir Bell (193-96, college: Princeton) added 19 points and 7 assists respectively for H.Beer Sheva in the defeat. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv and five H.Beer Sheva players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv maintains second place with 4-2 record having just one point less than leader I.Nes-Ziona, which they share with defeated H.Beer Sheva.
