Finals Game 2: Rytas - Zalgiris 70-92
Date: June 5, 2021
Zalgiris coasted past Rytas to take 2-0 lead in the Finals. The game was mostly controlled by Zalgiris. Rytas was better in second period 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Thomas Walkup (193-92, college: SF Austin) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 6 assists. French center Joffrey Lauvergne (211-91, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Martynas Echodas (206-97) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Andrew Goudelock (192-88, college: Charleston, agency: Octagon Europe) added 17 points in the effort for Rytas. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
