A very interesting game took place in Reims. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Entente Orleans 45 (17-15) to eleventh ranked Chalons-Reims (13-18) 75-74 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Entente Orleans 45. It was a good game for Nigerian-American power forward Gani Lawal (206-88, college: Georgia Tech) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Dominique Archie (201-87, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four Chalons-Reims players scored in double figures. Nigerian forward Chima Moneke (198-95, college: UC Davis) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds and Armenian-American center Luke Fischer (211-94, college: Marquette) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Entente Orleans 45. Chalons-Reims maintains eleventh position with 13-18 record, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Entente Orleans 45 at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. Chalons-Reims' next round opponent will be higher ranked JL Bourg (#4) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
