Regular Season Round 37: Cholet - Le Portel 86-78

There was a small surprise when fifteenth ranked Cholet Basket (11-20) won against at home 13th ranked Le Portel (12-20) 86-78. Le Portel was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Canadian forward Mikyle McIntosh (201-94, college: Oregon) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Johan Passave-Ducteil (198-85) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Le Portel. Five Cholet Basket and four Le Portel players scored in double figures. Le Portel's coach Eric Girard rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cholet Basket moved-up to fourteenth place. Le Portel lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Cholet Basket will play against higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#11) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Le Portel will play against Limoges CSP Elite and hopes to get back on the winning track.
