ALBA upset Bayern in Munich to take 2-1 lead in the Finals. ALBA Berlin outrebounded Bayern Muenchen 44-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Luke Sikma (202-89, college: Portland) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Uruguayan-Italian guard Jayson Granger (189-89) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. Granger is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. ALBA Berlin's coach Aito Garcia Reneses used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American DJ Seeley (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 23 points and naturalized Bosnian swingman Nihad Djedovic (197-90, agency: BeoBasket) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
