Regular Season Round 1: Start - Anwil 64-75

But Start was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Wloclawek 75-64 on Thursday night. The former international point guard Kamil Laczynski (183-89) stepped up and scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and the former international power forward Szymon Szewczyk (209-82) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Tweety Carter (178-86, college: Baylor) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Jimmie Taylor (208-95, college: Alabama) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anwil will meet at home Enea Zastal BC Zielona Gora in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Start will play against Trefl and hope to win that game.
