Very expected game when WKS Slask was edged by Twarde Pierniki in Wroclaw 70-68 on Wednesday. American point guard Maurice Watson (178-93, college: Creighton) notched 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and international Aaron Cel (203-87, agency: BIG) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Twarde Pierniki players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by Turkish Kerem Kanter (207-95, college: Xavier) did not help to save the game for WKS Slask. Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) added 6 points and 10 assists for the hosts. Twarde Pierniki will meet at home Asseco Arka in the next round and are hoping to win another game. WKS Slask will play against Enea Astoria and hope to win that game.
