Regular Season Round 4: Start - Trefl 70-73

Bottom-ranked Start (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-70 loss to sixth ranked Trefl (3-1) in Lublin on Thursday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch guard Yannick Franke (197-96) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Brandon Young (192-91, college: DePaul, agency: BIG) who added 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Four Trefl players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Tweety Carter (178-86, college: Baylor) responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Panamanian guard Doron Lamb (191-91, college: Kentucky) scored 17 points and 7 assists. Start's coach David Dedek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Trefl have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Twarde Pierniki. Loser Start still closes the standings with four games lost. Trefl will meet at home HydroTruck Radom (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Start will play against MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
