But Al-Qazeres was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Zamora 83-61 on Saturday night. It was a great shooting night for Zamarat especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. American swingman Chelsea Waters (186, college: Gonzaga, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) nailed 13 points for the winning side and forward Marta Gomez (185-97, college: Wyoming) accounted for 12 points. Four Zamarat players scored in double figures. Azerbaijani-American guard Alexy Mollenhauer (183-98, college: Anderson) came up with 19 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Yaiza Lazaro (190-94) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Al-Qazeres in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zamarat will meet at home Estepona in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al-Qazeres will play against Rioja in Azkoitia and hope to win that game.
