Regular Season Round 1: Politechnika Gd. - Miedzychod 82-84

An interesting game took place in Gdansk where Miedzychod edged by two points Politechnika Gd. 84-82 on Sunday night. Politechnika Gd. was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) stepped up and scored 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and point guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) chipped in 24 points. Four Miedzychod players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Stefan Marchlewski (184-98, college: Morrisville St.) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Filip Cebula (188-2) scored 16 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Miedzychod will meet at home KKS Basket in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Politechnika Gd. will play against Notec Inowr. and hope to win that game.
