Very expected game when Obradoiro (1-2) lost on the road to Real Madrid (3-0) 78-68 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for French center Vincent Poirier (213-93) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) accounted for 9 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. American center Henry Ellenson (208-97, college: Marquette) came up with 20 points and 7 rebounds and British-Canadian Thomas Scrubb (199-91, college: Carleton) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Obradoiro in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Real Madrid will meet at home Tenerife (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Obradoiro will play against Fuenlabrada and hope to win that game.
