MLP Academics Heidelberg used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Ludwigsburg 73-67 on Thursday night. MLP Academics Heidelberg made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Guard Jordan Geist (188-97, college: Missouri, agency: Inception Sports) notched 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and swingman Shyron Ely (194-87, college: Evansville, agency: Slash Sports) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Even 17 points and 5 assists by Jordan Hulls (180-90, college: Indiana) did not help to save the game for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Forward Yoeli Childs (203-98, college: BYU) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. MLP Academics Heidelberg will meet 46ers in the next round and are hoping to win another game. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against ALBA Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
