Regular Season Round 2: Stal Ostrow 2 - Zary 95-93

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when Zary was edged on the road by Stal Ostrow 2 95-93 on Saturday. Strangely Zary outrebounded Stal Ostrow 2 45-29 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Michal Pluta (192-2, agency: Octagon Europe) notched 37 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89) supported him with 11 points and 16 assists. Even 29 points by Maciej Leszczynski (192-99) did not help to save the game for Zary. Kamil Olejnik (200-96) added 11 points and 16 rebounds for the guests. Four Stal Ostrow 2 and five Zary players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Stal Ostrow 2 will meet Prudnik on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Zary will play against WKK 2 and hope to secure a win.
