Very expected game when Trefl 2 was smashed on the road by Poznan 72-48 on Saturday. Poznan dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Trefl 2's 26. Poznan forced 19 Trefl 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 45-24 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Jakub Simon (202-96) notched a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Dawid Brek (187-89) supported him with 6 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Four Poznan players scored in double figures. Even 9 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals by point guard Hubert Lalak (180-3) did not help to save the game for Trefl 2. Forward Lukasz Klawa (206-1) added 10 points for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Poznan will meet Chelmno on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Trefl 2 will play against Gniezno and hope to win that game.
