Regular Season Round 5: MKS DG - Start 94-101

Start's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked MKS DG (2-3) on the road game in Dabrowa Gornicza 101-94 on Saturday. American-Panamanian guard Doron Lamb (191-91, college: Kentucky) nailed 30 points for the winning side and American point guard Tweety Carter (178-86, college: Baylor) accounted for 19 points. Serbian Milivoje Mijovic (200-91, agency: 011 Sports) came up with 22 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and American point guard Nicolas Moore (175-92, college: SMU) added 19 points and 5 assists respectively for MKS DG in the defeat. Four Start and five MKS DG players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Start (1-4) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place, which they share with GTK Gliwice. Loser MKS DG keeps the eighth position with three games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Start will meet higher ranked Legia (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MKS DG will play against Stal and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
