But Alginet B was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Aldaia 95-67 on Saturday night. Aldaia dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Alginet B's 30 and made 27-of-35 free shots (77.1 percent) during the game, while Alginet B only scored four points from the stripe. Aldaia forced 25 Alginet B turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Carlos Hortelano (200-96) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Ricardo Carrion (197-91) accounted for 25 points for the winning side. Four Aldaia players scored in double figures. Point guard Ivan Lerin (187-1) came up with 12 points and Miquel Alfonso (-97) added 14 points respectively for Alginet B in the defeat. Alginet B's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Aldaia will meet at home Sueca (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alginet B will play against Gandia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
