There was an upset in Walbrzych where Kotwica was defeated by Gornik 88-77 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was guard Marcin Dymala (187-90) who scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jan Malesa (187-99) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Gornik's coach Lukasz Grudniewski used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mikolaj Kurpisz (203-98) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and Damian Pieloch (195-89) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Gornik and four Kotwica players scored in double figures. Gornik will meet Krakow on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Kotwica will play against WKK Wroclaw and hope to win that game.
