No shocking result in a game when Cadi La Seu (3-0) defeated on the road Ferrol (1-2) 61-54 on Saturday. They outrebounded Ferrol 38-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Irati Etxarri (187-98) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Mikayla Pivec (178-97, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Jenna Allen (190-97, college: Michigan St., agency: LBM Management) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and guard Carmen Grande (173-97, college: Ohio St.) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cadi La Seu are looking forward to face Ensino (#5) in Lugo in the next round. Ferrol will play on the road against Gran Canaria (#11) in Las Palmas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
