Regular Season Round 2: Zamarat - Estepona 90-55

Everything went according to plan when Zamarat outplayed Estepona in Zamora 90-55 on Saturday. Zamarat dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Estepona's 28. Zamarat forced 19 Estepona turnovers. Swingman Marta Montoliu (182-94) notched 16 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and American center Nneka Ezeigbo (188-98, college: RMU) supported her with 13 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Five Zamarat players scored in double figures. Zamarat's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-93) did not help to save the game for Estepona. Power forward Noelia Masia (183-98) added 9 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Zamarat will meet Real Canoe in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Estepona will play against Rioja and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
