Peli-Karhut used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Helsinki 85-60 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Peli-Karhut led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Peli-Karhut outrebounded Torpan Pojat 46-35 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Torpan Pojat's players. American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Zykera Rice (185-96, college: Gonzaga) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players saving starting five for next games. American forward Erika Davenport (182, college: Marquette) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-77, college: Xavier) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Peli-Karhut will meet Catz Lappeenranta on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
