An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Peja. Second ranked Peja faced 3rd placed Prizreni-16. Host Peja (4-1) defeated guests from Prizren (3-2) 89-82. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prizreni-16. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Peja forced 20 Prizreni-16 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international Dardan Berisha (190-88) stepped up and scored 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and Croatian forward Henrik Sirko (199-93) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Peja players scored in double figures. American guard Ty Nichols (190, college: Keene St.) responded with 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import swingman Courtney Fells (199-86, college: NC State) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Peja used an opportunity after Trepca lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Prizreni-16 keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Prishtina and Bashkimi. Peja will meet bottom-ranked Drita (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prizreni-16's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Prizren Bashkimi.
