The game between closely ranked teams ended with RSU 2's road victory over BJBS RJ 2 in Riga 85-47 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by RSU 2. BJBS RJ 2 managed to win second period 17-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. RSU 2 held BJBS RJ 2 to an opponent 22.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 34.6 percent accuracy of the winners. RSU 2 forced 20 BJBS RJ 2 turnovers. Latvian guard Laura Okuneva (177-0) nailed 21 points and 5 assists for the winning side and forward Paula Cirsa (176-3) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds. Krista Lukasevica (-6) came up with 4 points and 12 rebounds and forward Sarlote Petersone (177-3) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for BJBS RJ 2 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
