Regular Season Round 4: Badajoz - Cimbis 77-90

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Cimbis and bottom-ranked Badajoz had identical 0-1 record. But Badajoz was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Cimbis 90-77 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of Angel Canas-Balina (187-97) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!) and guard Alvaro Benitez (186-99) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Argentinian forward Alejo Maggi (200-1) responded with 28 points and 8 rebounds and Gabriel Perez (-2) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Cimbis (1-1) left bottom position moving up to fourth place in Group D-B, which they share with 5 other teams. Badajoz at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Real Betis 2. Cimbis will meet Huelva Com. (#7) on the road in the next round. Badajoz will play against Torta del Casar (#4) in Caceres and hopes to get finally their first victory.
