Very expected game when Poznan lost on the road to Bydgoszcz 91-85 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Bydgoszcz made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Lithuanian power forward Laura Miskiniene-Svaryte (190-92) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and Swedish swingman Nathalie Fontaine (188-93, college: Ball St., agency: LBM Management) supported her with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bydgoszcz players scored in double figures. Even 26 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists by Serbian point guard Jovana Popovic (173-90) did not help to save the game for Poznan. American Danielle McCray (182-87, college: Kansas) added 15 points and 15 rebounds for the guests. Poznan's coach Grzegorz Zielinski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bydgoszcz will meet at home Polkowice in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Poznan will have a break next round.
