The biggest surprise took place in Madrid where host Real Madrid 2 (3-1) crushed league's leader Guadalajara (3-1) 94-70 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Guadalajara. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Real Madrid 2 made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Guadalajara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Slovenian point guard Urban Klavzar (184-4) fired 21 points and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winners. Forward Ab Sediq Garuba (190-4) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Five Real Madrid 2 players scored in double figures. Swedish guard John Thornblom (194-0) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Raul Lazaro (195-87) added 17 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Madrid 2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Guadalajara. Guadalajara will play next round against Estudio trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Real Madrid 2 will try to continue on its current victory against sixteenth ranked Estudiantes B. It will be extra interesting game as Estudiantes B is their local rival from Madrid.
