Regular Season Round 4: Mataro AE Parc - Igualada 56-76

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Igualada and 6th ranked Mataro Parc had identical 1-0 record. But Mataro Parc was not able to use a home court advantage and was outscored by the opponent from Igualada 76-56 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in Group C-2. Worth to mention a great performance of Carles Fons (189-91) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and power forward Roger Perez (203-96) who added 15 points during the contest. At the losing side forward David Romero (191-90) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Alberto Reyes (195-90) scored 4 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Igualada (2-0) keeps a position of Group C-2 leader, which they share with L'Hospitalet and Esparreguera. Mataro Parc at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Igualada will meet at home Alfinden (#5) in the next round. Mataro Parc will play against Joventut 2 in Badalona and hope to win that game.
