Regular Season Round 3: Plasencia - Maresme 51-48

Very expected game when Maresme (0-3) was edged on the road by Plasencia (3-0) 51-48 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was American-Guyanese guard Miriam McKenzie (177-90, college: Loyola, MD) who scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Kamilah Jackson (183-92, college: Hawaii) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Finnish guard Sara Rokkanen (178-96, college: Toledo) who recorded 12 points and 5 rebounds and guard Lula Roig (175-99, college: St.Joseph's) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Maresme's coach Jordi Vizcaino rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Plasencia will meet Paterna (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Maresme will play against Granada (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
