Regular Season Round 4: Estudiantes B - Socuellamos 76-83

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Madrid where bottom-ranked Estudiantes B (0-3) was defeated by bottom-ranked Socuellamos (1-3) 83-76 on Saturday. Socuellamos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Argentinian-French point guard Diego Fox (177-77) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots) and British forward Adrian Nosa-Casitillo (196-0, college: Richland CC) who added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Socuellamos' coach Gabriel Martinez used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side power forward Hugo Lopez (209-3) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and forward Michael Drame (195-99) scored 16 points. Four Estudiantes B players scored in double figures. Socuellamos left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place in Group B, which they share with Estudio and Zentro Basket 2. It was Estudiantes B's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Socuellamos will meet at home higher ranked Rivas (#6) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Estudiantes B's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Madrid Real Madrid 2.
