Regular Season Round 2: Handlova - Iskra Svit 76-67

Very important is a road loss of Iskra Svit against Handlova on Saturday night. Visiting Iskra Svit was defeated by Handlova in a tough game in Handlova 67-76. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Jordon Talley (185-95, college: UNCW) notched a double-double by scoring 28 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) to lead the effort and the former international center Michal Cekovsky (211-94, college: Maryland, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 11 points and 13 rebounds. Four Handlova players scored in double figures. Even 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists by American point guard AJ Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) did not help to save the game for Iskra Svit. International power forward Jakub Mokran (200-99) added 16 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Handlova will meet Prievidza on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iskra Svit will play against Spisski Rytieri and hope to win that game.
