There was a surprise result in Bologna where Fortitudo BO (1-2) outscored Pesaro (1-2) 87-66 on Sunday. Fortitudo BO dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Pesaro's 30. Fortitudo BO forced 19 Pesaro turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was German forward Robin Benzing (208-89, agency: BeoBasket) who scored 23 points and 6 rebounds. The former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Fortitudo BO players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Tyrique Jones (206-97, college: Xavier, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian Carlos Delfino (198-82) added 12 points respectively. Pesaro's coach Aleksandar Petrovic gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fortitudo BO will meet Brindisi (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pesaro will play against Tortona (#12) and hope to win that game.
