Regular Season Round 2: Acunsa GBC - Caceres 74-76

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Acunsa GBC in San Sebastian on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by Caceres 76-74. It was a great shooting night for Caceres especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. American guard Devin Schmidt (193-94, college: Delta St., agency: Duran International) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and Congolese forward Romaric Belemene (206-97) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Croatian power forward Mario Delas (207-90) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Kyle Mallers (201-97, college: Ball St.) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Caceres is looking forward to face Huesca at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Acunsa GBC will play against Valladolid and is hoping to win this game.
