Regular Season Round 2: KR - Tindastoll 82-83

Quite upsetting was KR's home defeat in a game versus Tindastoll who edged hosts 83-82. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 19-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tindastoll forced 24 KR turnovers. Strangely KR outrebounded Tindastoll 50-38 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Javon Bess (198-96, college: St.Louis) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. British-Irish forward Taiwo Badmus (201-93, college: UVA Wise) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Shawn Glover (201-90, college: ORU, agency: Haylett Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Croatian forward Dani Koljanin (202-96, college: UALR) added 17 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KR's coach Darri Atlason rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tindastoll will meet at home Breidablik in the next round and are hoping to win another game. KR will play against Grindavik and hope to win that game.
