Regular Season Round 4: Hrunamenn - Fjolnir 108-74

Everything could happen in Fludir at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Hrunamenn and 6th ranked Fjolnir had identical 1-2 record. This time Hrunamenn used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Reykjavik 108-74 on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Hrunamenn. Fjolnir managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Fjolnir 42-21 including a 21-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hrunamenn shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Croatian Karlo Lebo (196-94) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Foreman (203-94, college: St.Louis) produced 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Viktor Steffensen (193-2) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hrunamenn (2-2) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Selfoss. Loser Fjolnir dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Hamar. Hrunamenn will meet league's leader Haukar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fjolnir will play against Selfoss (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
