Premijer Liga top team - Split (5-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Sonik P. (2-4) 99-58. Split forced 20 Sonik P. turnovers and outrebounded them 47-22 including a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Sonik P.'s players. International guard Toni Perkovic (191-98) notched 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and swingman Lovre Runjic (197-0) supported him with 16 points. Split's coach Srdjan Subotic felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 22 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by swingman Ivan Vucic (195-96) did not help to save the game for Sonik P.. Guard Marko Juric (190-99) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Sonik P. players scored in double figures. Split have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-1 record, which they share with Cibona and Cedevita Jr. Sonik P. lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with four games lost. They share the position with Zabok. Split will meet Osijek (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Sonik P. will play against Zabok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
