Regular Season Round 4: Miedzychod - Pyra 75-85

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Miedzychod (2-2) was defeated at home by top-ranked Poznan Pyra (2-0) 85-75 on Saturday. Poznan Pyra forced 21 Miedzychod turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Patryk Plewinski (181-1) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and guard Aleksander Adamczak (193-0) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Poznan Pyra players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Jakub Nowak (186-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Mariusz Malachowski (194-85) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Poznan Pyra moved-up to seventh place in Group A. Loser Miedzychod dropped to the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Astoria 2. Poznan Pyra will meet at home higher ranked Gniezno (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Miedzychod will play against Tarnovia (#6) in Tarnowo Podgorne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
