An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Levice. Second ranked Levice faced 4th ranked Iskra Svit. Host Levice (3-1) smashed guests from Svit (1-2) 82-60. Levice outrebounded Iskra Svit 48-32 including a 38-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Deshawn Freeman (201-94, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The former international center Boris Bojanovsky (217-93, college: FSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Five Levice players scored in double figures. Levice's coach Michal Madzin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Garrius Holloman (198-89, college: BCU) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard AJ Walton (184-90, college: Baylor) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Iskra Svit. Levice have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 3-1 record behind leader Lucenec. Iskra Svit at the other side dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. Levice will play against bottom-ranked Prievidza (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iskra Svit will play against Spisski Rytieri to get more than just one victory in their record.
