There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Gijon Basket (0-5) was outleveled at home by eighth ranked Leon (3-2) 81-57 on Saturday. Leon dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Gijon Basket's 26. Leon forced 21 Gijon Basket turnovers. Rodrigo Llamas (191-1) nailed 20 points for the winning side and guard Alan Morchon (188-99) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Leon players scored in double figures. Leon's coach Luis Castillo felt very confident that he used 11 players saving starting five for next games.
