There was an upset when 4th placed Chantada (3-2) lost on the road to thirteenth ranked Avila (2-3) 65-57 on Saturday. Naturalized Argentinian Ezequiel Herrera (185-96) nailed 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward Guillermo Rodriguez (198-98, college: Dakota Bottin.) accounted for 13 points and 8 rebounds. Avila's coach Carlos Gomez used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Forward Cristian Iglesias (200-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and forward Jorge Aller (195-97) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Chantada in the defeat. Avila moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with Betanzos and Culleredo. Loser Chantada dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Avila will meet league's second-placed Porrino on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
