Regular Season Round 4: Baerum Basket - Tromso 87-66
Date: October 17, 2021
No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Baerum Basket (3-1) crushed 7th ranked Tromso (2-4) in Bekkestua 87-66 on Sunday. Baerum Basket forced 20 Tromso turnovers. The winners were led by the former international forward Sjur Berg (201-96, college: Alaska-Anch.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) supported him with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Even a double-double of 18 points and 18 rebounds by American forward Rasheed Worrell (203-96, college: Lynn, agency: One Motive Sports) did not help to save the game for Tromso. Point guard Johannes Lange (182-98) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Baerum Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Tromso keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Baerum Basket will meet at home league's second-placed Froya Basket in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tromso will play against Gimle BBK (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
