The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Giannena at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Olympiacos 70-62. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian center Kristine Vitola (193-91, college: UTEP) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Shayla Cooper (188-95, college: Ohio St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Olympiacos players scored in double figures. Canadian forward Samantha Cooper (188-95, college: Fairfield) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Samantha Mackay (174-91, college: Dayton) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Giannena. Olympiacos is looking forward to face Esperides in Glyfada in the next round. Giannena will play on the road against Dafni Agioy in Athens and is hoping to win this game.
