Regular Season Round 5: Mondragon - Ardoi 77-73

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 7th ranked Ardoi (3-2) lost on the road to eighth ranked Mondragon (3-2) 77-73 on Sunday. Swingman Andoni Acha (195-99) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Daniel Lorenzo (181-93) accounted for 16 points. Four Mondragon players scored in double figures. Mondragon's coach Eneko Mata used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Pope Urtasun (187-80) came up with 23 points and 4 assists and forward Hector Narvaez (197-90) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ardoi in the defeat. Mondragon moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A, which they share with defeated Ardoi. Mondragon will meet Pas Pielagos (#10) in the next round. Ardoi will play against Santurtzi and hope to secure a win.
