Regular Season Round 5: Andratx - Mataro UE 64-68

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Mataro and bottom-ranked Andratx had identical 0-2 record. But Andratx was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Mataro 68-64 on Sunday night. Forward Jordi Juanola (196-98) nailed 30 points for the winning side and power forward Gerbert Marti (204-91) accounted for 2 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Imanol Martinez (195-0) came up with 27 points and 9 rebounds and center Alberto Diaz (209-98) added 7 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Andratx in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Mataro (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place in Group C-3, which they share with Palma AE and Artes. It was Andratx's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Santfeliuenc and Quart. Mataro will meet at home league's second-placed Navas in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Andratx will play against Vic (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
