Regular Season Round 5: Agustinos - Betanzos 81-69

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Agustinos (5-3) defeated 9th ranked Betanzos (2-3) in Leon 81-69 on Sunday. Agustinos shot 21 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Betanzos only scored three points from the stripe. Center Sergio Martinez (208-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and Croatian forward Demian Balasko (197-97) accounted for 18 points and 11 rebounds. Four Agustinos players scored in double figures. Daniel Martin (187-97) came up with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Marcos Rozas (202-83) added 13 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Betanzos in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Agustinos moved-up to third place in Group A-B. Loser Betanzos dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. They share it with Avila and Culleredo. Agustinos will meet at home league's second-placed Torrent in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Betanzos will play against Gijon Basket (#15) and hope to secure a win.
