Regular Season Round 4: AZS AGH II - Gliwice 2 82-101

There was a surprise result in Krakow where fifteenth ranked Gliwice 2 (1-3) outleveled higher ranked Korona (1-3) 101-82 on Sunday. Gliwice 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Korona's 44. Gliwice 2 forced 21 Korona turnovers and outrebounded them 53-40 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Aleksander Wisniewski (192-3) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists and power forward Mikolaj Adamczak (204-2) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Gliwice 2 players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Kacper Rojek (194-0) responded with 38 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and point guard Bartosz Lesniak (175-6) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gliwice 2 left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group C, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Korona. Gliwice 2 will meet at home league's second-placed Bielsko-Biala in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Korona will have a break next round.
