Regular Season Round 3: Olympiacos - Promitheas 108-75

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Promitheas (2-1) in Pireus on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by Olympiacos (3-0) 108-75. The game without a history. Olympiacos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Promitheas' 36. They outrebounded Promitheas 35-19 including 24 on the defensive glass. Olympiacos shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international Tyler Dorsey (196-96, college: Oregon) who led his team to a victory with 14 points. Cypriot-Bulgarian Aleksandar Vezenkov (206-95) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard Kendrick Ray (188-94, college: KSU) answered with 12 points and the former international forward Dimitris Agravanis (208-94, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points in the effort for Promitheas. Four Promitheas players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos are looking forward to face Iraklis (#13) in Thessaloniki in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Promitheas will play at home against Larissa BC (#12) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
