The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Beroe in Plovdiv on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by Akademik P. 74-68. Akademik P. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Vasil Bachev (195-92, college: Cuesta JC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Turkish-Bulgarian forward Efe Yurtlu (208-1) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Nigerian-American Obinna Oleka (203-93, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and American forward Cadarian Raines (205-90, college: Virginia Tech) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Beroe. Akademik P. are looking forward to face TFT in Skopje in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Beroe will play on the road against Prishtina and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
